The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to function as an Occupational Health and Safety Officer.  

Occupational Health and Safety Officers monitor compliance with health and safety systems and processes in an organisation they identify hazards and assesses risks to health and safety and recommend the implementation of appropriate health and safety controls where required.  A qualified learner will demonstrate the following key attributes: Teamness, Commitment to results, Tenacity, Self-driven, Effective communicator, Sense of fairness and consistency.

NQF Level: 5 | Minimum Credits: 120

The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to function as an Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner.

Occupational Health and Safety Practitioners, serve as facilitators and advisors to employees and management regarding health and safety aspects in the workplace, including the monitoring and inspection of the workplace, the recording and investigation of incidents and accidents as well as implementation and maintenance of Occupational Health and Safety management systems to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

NQF Level: 04 | Minimum Credits: 180

The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to operate as an Electric Cable Jointer.

An Electric Cable Jointer plans, prepares, installs, joints and terminates low voltage (LV) (1000V) and medium voltage (MV) (up to and including 44kV) cables under dead (at zero potential) conditions.

NQF Level: 05 | Minimum Credits: 240

The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to operate as a Project Manager. A Project Manager applies knowledge of project management to achieve project objectives in a specific field of application.

A qualified learner will be able to:

  • Initiate a project to address specific project objectives.
  • Plan and prepare the delivery of a project.
  • Execute and control the delivery of a project management plan.
  • Manage the project close out process.

The purpose of this qualification is to prepare a learner to function as a Human Resource Management (HRM) Officer.

A Human Resource Management (HRM) Officer contributes towards organisational success by facilitating the professional and ethical execution of Human Resources practices, including Human Resources and Workforce Planning, Staff Attraction and Procurement, Employee Maintenance and Development, Employment Relations Management, and the effective delivery of all related Human Resource Management Services. Competent learners will demonstrate the following key attributes: patience and tenacity, fairness and compliance, objectivity and empathy, results focus and client-centric service orientation.

The purpose of this skills programme is to enable learners to function as Operational Workplace Hazard and Risk Assessors 

Operational Workplace Hazard and Risk Assessors are roles that are inherent to all jobs within organisations it requires that employees proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential hazards and risks within the workplace.

The purpose of this skills programme is to enable learners to function as Workplace OHS Risk Assessment Specialists. 

Workplace OHS Risk Assessment Specialists are roles that are inherent to the jobs of OHS Practitioners and selected line managers within organisations. The role requires that the role player delivers specialist Hazard Identification and Risk assessment services within organisational divisions, departments and sections ensuring that professional hazard identification and risk assessment takes place continuously and that the results of these assessments are utilised to prevent incidents and accidents and to improve the overall health and safety in the workplace.
